On April 26, 2017 a group of us children set off towards a shop for book-lovers called ‘Waterstones’. The one we toured was situated in the heart of Central London – Trafalgar Square precisely – in the shadow of Nelson’s Column, under the arches of The Grand Building. Waterstones welcomes book lovers from London and all over the world. We left at specifically 11:43 am, took the 220 bus to Hammersmith Station and had a 27 minute journey to Embankment Station. We ambled to the 3-storey book shop, consisting of all types of books – comedy, kids, cookery, science, politics, business, economics and so much more.
As the trip was for ACHIEVEing students we had the privilege of choosing a book of our choice. Everyone chose their cherished books. We finished our main activities and therefore all of us could designate their next place to go – a Lego shop (the biggest Lego store), the biggest M&M store and a Nickelodeon centre. To top it all off we ate at a restaurant near the distinguished Nelson statue. We had an extravagant day.
